Does some kind of damage to fields that can be seen on the map, preventing completion of contracts, not due to yield but due to field harvested percentage.

Yep, they have a mulcher feature - so they can't be used for contracts, sadly..

I just checked why this happens because it actually shouldn't after looking at the underlying work area code. After more thorough investigation though, it's due to a variable not being reset properly when iterating through an implement's work areas. So it's effectively a base game bug. I'll investigate some more and then report it.
Edit: I've just reported the bug after verifying with a mod that fixes the work area handling, that I actually found the right thing.

By the way, since Giants did not yet check in on the bug report after nearly 2 weeks, I'm considering uploading my fix mod for now, is anyone interested?
